All glory comes from daring to begin. This was after a single conversation across the table with a the leadership team of The Genius Club that we remembered how far the Lord had bought us. It was in October 2017 that Mr. Joel (President The Genius Club) unleashed The Genius Club with the purpose of reaching out to the vulnerable in our society by showing the example of Jesus Christ. Just as it is said, a will finds a way; all our mission plans for the year came to pass in the given time we had to pursue them. Thus, there was nothing else left apart from giving all the glory back to God for the achieved goals right from our first mission to the last we have had this year as well as trusting Him for our future progress.
Arriving at this unanimous decision with the members of The Genius Club, the leaders were left with the responsibility to find a venue where we could all convene and make this party happen. After a long day of searching, we secured a conference hall at one of the Hotels in The Genius Foundation Office neighborhood. It was until the 24th of November 2018 at around 5:00 pm when I arrived at the venue all set as agreed by our service provider, splendid in the colors of gold, white, and black to match with our output theme. By this time some of The Genius Club members had already arrived, and interactions began with word of welcome alongside the bites and drinks.
The atmosphere was a kind that would tell everyone around that; there was reason enough to celebrate and be delighted in what God had done through us. I (Onyango Henry, Vice President The Genius Club) meet some of the members, and we all got excited and could not wait to see the party at its peak meanwhile many more guests were arriving not forgetting our missions host pastors as well as friends with The Genius Club. Besides what I liked about the party was the discipline; ranging from the dress code, seating arrangement, the projection of both video clips and photos from all our mission trips. Furthermore, were the thorough, clear, and precise speeches from our guests, members, and leaders of The Genius Club, who stressed the reports, and impact of the Gospel we preached with authority and power of Jesus Christ.
"Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15 : 10
We were later asked by our loving and humorous Masters of Ceremony to go for our dinner in the next dining room. This was a long set up with a buffet only waiting for us to serve our selves with all we could take in. Among those were soft drinks, salads, and variety of food types only to describe the entire experience as simply delicious. Moreover, this ushered us to one of my best moments, the time where most of us around the cake with hands on the knife to cut the cake, and it was well served to all to enjoy. All filled with joy, Laughter was the shortest distance between us. In addition, was this particular event when we had pics taken with one another which was glamorous seeing us together in such a memorial moment.
Astonishment lies in the pleasure of accomplishment and the thrill of creative effort. Likewise, as The Genius Club, we cannot forget the fact that throughout this year, it was Him our God working through and with us to touch the communities we managed to reach. Right from Nakaseke, Seroma High school, Jinja Bugembe, Kapeka, Iganga Bugodi, Buswa Nakawuka, Namugoona, Buyende District, Kasokwe, and Ndejjje, we give the glory to God for the great harvest that was saved for His kingdom’s sake. Furthermore, it’s in our daily prayer to trust in Him for another forth coming successful year. While spreading of the good news to the end of the world come 2019, believing that He who started His great commission of proclaiming the gospel of truth is faith full to finish it through us. Accordingly, we give all the glory and honor to God for the job well done, Happy One Year Anniversary The Genius Club.
